Denim on denim is hot right now. I thought I'd play it up a little by adding a distressed green denim jacket with a pair of leggings from Nikibiki that mimic the look of denim (but really it's a combo of nylon & spandex), and dressing it up with my denim lace-up heels I was gifted from Shoe Land at the MTV gifting suite. I personalized this outfit by adding my beloved leather mini backpack from my line Grip Handbags, as well as a diamond shaped pin gifted to me from the founder of Fred + Far. I did an exclusive feature on the company a few weeks ago. If you haven't had the chance to catch the story, you can read it here!
Abbot Kinney is such an inspiring place. The entire boulevard is decked with colorful wall art and motivating graffiti. The ability to express style and emotion through design is why I love being an artist. The process of translating what you feel into something visually tangible is so empowering. I found a cute alley right off Abbot Kinney with art that reminded me of the wallpaper at one of my favorite juice bars in West Hollywood, Rawberri. I have to admit at one point I loved the print so much I got a manicure inspired by its leafy goodness. A little obsessed? Maybe. But I hope you like the look!
