Carrot Oil Is Exactly What Your Hair & Skin Need Going Into Fall

I discovered carrot oil from Sweden. Go figure. I feel that Europe is totally ahead of the game in so many ways. Skincare being one of them. My grandmother must have told my mom about it, and then my mom shared it with me. At first I thought, isn't carrot oil going to clog my pores? But believe it or not, carrot oil is super light and highly moisturizing. I'm surprised the beauty industry hasn't started a craze about it yet. Here is what I learned about carrot oil.

1). Carrot oil can help eliminate fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.

2). Carrot oil contains rich levels of antioxidants and is said to help fight off free radicals, with a natural sun protection equivalent to 38 SPF.

3). Carrot oil contains vitamins A, C, and E which help slow down skin aging, and give skin a natural glow.

4). Carrot oil contains betacarotene which is great for hair growth and overall hair health and shine. Use carrot oil to boost hair growth, cure split ends, and/or treat dry brittle hair.

5). Carrot oil derived from carrot seeds contain a central ingredient called 'caratol' which helps to rejuvenate the skin by restoring it and stimulating new cell growth.

What I use for myself is a product containing pure carrot oil that is found in Sweden. My grandmother sends me a bottle every few months. I realize how hard it is to find pure carrot oil formulated for the skin here in the States. Perhaps in the coming years, we'll see more of this crucial skincare ingredient. In the meantime, I did some research and found some products that contain carrot oil in its ingredients in case you wanted to give it a try! For someone who has fair dry skin, I rely so much on carrot oil both for health reasons and cosmetic reasons. I'm including some carrot oil in my "before bed regime" to guarantee a healthy glow as we start to roll into the fall/winter season.
