So how do you dress chic for the holidays? It's all about keeping your pieces simple. Think Megan Markle style. Chic, simple, and sophisticated... Like a Princess. When I want to mix and match different colors, I try to stick with complementary colors and tones. I also like to throw on a statement accessory or two for added interest. Accessories also make for great conversation starters during holiday parties. Most people notice the accessories firsthand on an outfit.
Here is what I put together recently. This look is a casual take on holiday chic. It's a great look for a day into evening occasion, I love this wine colored cable knit sweater from Talbots. The piece is part of their anniversary collection. It's no wonder that they decided to bring that piece back. It's so sinfully soft.
Additionally, by sticking with complementary colors and tones, I decided to pair my sweater with a light olive green legging pant. I layered my look with an amazing faux fur jacket from Anthropologie, and accessorized with my favorite Kendra Scott necklace. For added playfulness, I matched the look with my forest green vegan leather handbag from Grip Handbags. Shoes are from Michael Kors. I am obsessed with the crystals decked out on the heels. So festive!
