You're Not A True Pizza Lover Until You Try This Groundbreaking Breakfast Pizza

This pizza is like a dream come true. It's like heaven sent us a guardian angel. It's like a choir singing 'Hallelujah.' But, for real. I woke up one morning and this pizza was in the oven. Pleasantly awoken by the smell of bacon, I assumed the typical. Perhaps someone is preparing bacon and eggs? No. Not quite. More like a pizza layered with salsa, hash browns, shredded cheese, bacon, peppers, and eggs on a whole wheat dough (Niiiiiice). It was sizzling in the oven, ready to come out in just a matter of seconds. Talk about perfect timing. So, I grabbed my camera to document the moment I fell in love with a thing called 'breakfast pizza' sunny side up.

WHAT YOU NEED:

- Pizza dough (a whole wheat dough was used here)

- 1 bag of hash brown potatoes

- 1 bag of shredded cheese (we used a Mexican 4 cheese blend)

- 1 pack of bacon

- 8 eggs

- Diced red and green peppers (as much or as little as you want)

- Salsa

INSTRUCTIONS:

1). Pre-heat convection oven to 450 degrees F.

2). Cut bacon into pieces and fry over medium-high heat until crisp. Cool on a plate lined with paper towels to help drain the fat.

3). Roll out your dough. Bake in the oven for 5 min then remove.

4). Apply salsa (in replace of tomato sauce).

5). Sprinkle hash brown potatoes and then sprinkle the shredded cheese over.

6). Sprinkle bacon pieces and diced peppers.

7). Form small holes throughout the pie to insert your eggs. For this sunny side pizza, once you've made your holes, insert an egg per hole.

8). Put the pizza in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Keeping an eye on the eggs and the outer crust of the pizza dough will help you determine when the pizza is ready.

9). Remove and serve a slice with a side of cut up pineapple, watermelon, and extra salsa. Yum!
