It's May day! I'm excited to update you on my fitness journey 60 days in. Admittedly, there have been some weeks where I completely lost track of my routine. Some assignments got in my way, and lots of traveling made it challenging to keep up with my workouts. But I made sure I did something to keep myself moving, even if it wasn't a total of five days a week. Sometimes it was three, and that's okay. I honestly have my Fitbit to thank for holding myself accountable, and reminding me to focus on giving more time for my well-being. I got a bike a few weeks ago, and I'm enjoying it so much.
I love the process of taking before and after shots. As I look at how far I've come, I notice a lot of changes in the quality if my mental state, as well as some physical changes. I definitely feel stronger, and I am the happiest I've been in a while. I'm pretty sure my weight is increasing (which is not a bad thing) because of it. I'm moving around a lot and eating lots of small meals throughout the day to keep my metabolism going. Because I am generally sticking with my same diet, I am led to believe that my weight gain is due to muscle mass. But, I've also been noticing a lot of bloating after meals. I'm sure it's normal, but what a pain it can be! I also find that I have more energy to burn and I'm continuously pushing myself to set new goals. However, there have been times when it's been tough. Workouts have been getting harder because I'm challenging myself.
At this point, it's easy to settle and say I'm "good enough." But I know I can be better! The area where I see the most physical improvement so far is in my lower body, from the waist down. You can't go wrong with strong legs and a summer bootay in the works! As I continue on my fitness journey, my goal is to target more of my arms and abs, and see what results come from it. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day. Catch you next month!
