Ham And Cheese Quiche You Can Make From Scratch

Nothing beats a freshly baked quiche for breakfast any time of the day! This is a recipe my grandmother shared with me while she was here visiting this summer. One day she made this quiche for an early lunch, and I was completely stunned by not only how good it looked, but how amazing it tasted. I'm a big fan of anything homemade, but never thought a quiche would be so simple to make. Even the pie crust is homemade, and she uses just three ingredients for that! I was so impressed that I knew I had to share this on the blog.

WHAT YOU NEED:

For the crust -

- 1 3/4 cups of flour

- 3 tbsp water

- 1.5 sticks of butter

For the quiche -

- 1 3/4 cups of milk (or lactose milk)

- 3 eggs

- Handful of shredded cheddar cheese

- Handful of chopped ham

INSTRUCTIONS:

1). Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

2). Roll out the dough into a round cake pan about 1/4 of an inch thick and bake for 5-10 minutes, then remove.

3). Whisk eggs and milk together in a large bowl.

4). Add half of the cheddar and ham mix into the milk and egg mixture and pour into cake pan with crust. Bake for 20 minutes then remove.

5). Add remaining eggs, milk, ham and cheese mixture and continue baking for another 20-25 minutes (time my vary).

6). Quiche is done when golden brown and raised significantly.

7). Let the quiche sit for 10 minutes and then slice to serve!
