Discovering the benefits of turmeric powder has completely upgraded my cooking game. It's an incredibly healthy compound with anti-inflammatory benefits. It's also a very strong antioxidant. There is so much you can do with turmeric in your everyday cooking, and I'm sharing 5 easy and healthy recipes you can follow. I got my turmeric powder from Blue Lily Organics. They come in huge packs that will last you for months!

1). Homemade Stovetop Turmeric Popcorn

In a pot pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2-3 tablespoons of white or yellow corn. Cover with a lid over the stove, and wait for popcorn to finish popping under low-medium heat. When done, remove from heat right away to avoid burning. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and turmeric powder. Let cool and then enjoy!

2). Healthy Jasmine Rice with Turmeric

This is a terrible photo but hopefully it still sparks your appetite to want to try adding a little turmeric into your jasmine rice. All you need to do is prepare rice as you normally would, then before all the water is absorbed, sprinkle some turmeric powder and stir evenly.

3). Turmeric Chicken Skewers

In the photo above, you'll also see turmeric chicken skewers. I love to repurpose my Chinese chop sticks and use them for my skewers (not photographed here). This is also super easy to make. Prepare your chicken as you would and while you're coating the chicken with your favorite seasoning, throw in some turmeric!

4). Thai Curry Pasta with Turmeric

This dish is one of my absolute favorites! I used Banza pasta for this particular dish you see above here. Banza pasta is made from chickpeas, so the pasta is high in fiber, gluten free, and super nutritious. Boil the pasta then set aside. Chop 2-3 cloves of garlic and add in saucepan with olive oil over medium heat. Chop up mushrooms by hand or in a food processor. Add to the pan and stir. Add 1 can of coconut milk. Stir. Then add 1 tablespoon of green curry sauce to the mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Add your pasta, and garnish with fresh chopped chives.

5). Tropical Turmeric Cleanser Smoothie

Here is a recipe I'm sharing from the original poster at Simple Greens Smoothies. Click the link to read the full recipe! Obsessed with this one. It's so perfect and refreshing for summer!
