Snack Up For The Super Bowl With Seven Layer Bars

It's Super Bowl Sunday and everyone is coming over. Ok, don't pressure yourself. Make something easy, full of rich flavor, and perfect for everyone watching the game. Hmm, what could that be? I have just the recipe for you!

Anyone ever heard of seven layer bars? To be honest, I never heard of it it until recently. This is a great hearty snack to prepare that is also very flexible because you can use different types of fillings to suit people tastes. Today is my first time making it and it is divine. It's a mix between a cookie and granola bar. Safe to say, you will make everyone in the neighborhood happy with this tasty Super Bowl Snack.

WHAT YOU NEED:

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or vanilla or peanut butter chips)

- 1 cup butterscotch chips

- 1 cup chopped walnuts

- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

- 1 1/3 cups shredded coconut

INSTRUCTIONS:

1). Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

2). Place butter in 13 x 9 inch pan and melt in oven. Swirl to coat bottom and sides with butter.

3). Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly over bottom pan. Layer chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and nuts over crumbs. Pour condensed milk over nuts. Sprinkle coconut over condensed milk.

4). Bake until edges are golden brown. about 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting into bars.
