The Perfect Pastry To Bake For Afternoon Tea

I got a little creative. This pastry is a hybrid of muffin and biscuit (shall I call it a "miscuit"?!). It seriously has me wanting to go back for more. Better yet, they're bite sized with bacon bits sprinkled on top. Oh so delicious. I made these to accompany my Sunday afternoon tea. What a perfect little snack!

WHAT YOU NEED (*Makes about 10-12 "miscuits"):

- A non-stick mini muffin tray

- Cooking spray

- 1 cup of Bisquick

- 2/3 cup of milk

- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (I recommend a Mexican blend)

- 1 tbsp of butter

- 1 tsp of garlic powder

- A pinch of salt

- Bacon bits

INSTRUCTIONS:

1). Pre-heat convection oven to 450 degrees.

2). In a medium sized bowl, pour Bisquick, milk, and butter (melted). Whisk well.

3). Then add garlic powder, salt, and shredded cheese. Mix until all ingredients are blended well.

4). Apply cooking spray on mini muffin tray.

5). Take a spoon and scoop just enough batter to fill a single cup on muffin pan. Repeat until batter is used up and tray is full.

6). Sprinkle some bacon bits over each miscuit.

7). Insert tray into the oven. Bake for about 10 minutes.

Bon appetit!
